Iceberg lettuce

Optimum conditions for the healthy cultivation of iceberg lettuce are an exposed position open to westerly winds and a good water supply. From March to April, the lettuces are cultivated under fleece and, from May, under crop protection nets. It is harvested daily from the beginning of May until the end of October. This popular lettuce is ready for harvesting when the heads are firm.
