Five a day
Vegetables are vital to cooking and eating delicious, healthy food. Broccoli, for example, can be used in many different tasty recipes.
The “five-a-day” movement started at the beginning of the new millennium. It is based on the scientific finding that people who eat a lot of fruit and vegetables – preferably five a day – are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease, strokes, various types of cancer, high blood pressure, adiposity (obesity) and type 2 diabetes.
